Das renommierte Hostel befindet sich an der Westküste Irlands in der Grafschaft Galway in einer kleinen Bucht am Rande eines Nationalparks gelegen. Der Strand ist ca. 100 und das offene Meer ca. 10 km entfernt.

Ihr Praktikum wird in den Bereichen Front Office, Food & Beverage und Housekeeping des Hostels stattfinden. Dort haben Sie die Möglichkeit die Organisation und die verschiedenen Arbeitsabläufe kennen zu lernen.

We operate three hostels on the west coast of Ireland with a combined total of about 400 beds. The internship programme is based on a minimum of 4 week commitment and no salary is paid.
 
Duties and working hours:
Interns will be assigned a variety of duties which include the following:
General housekeeping, cleaning and preparing guest rooms, dining room, kitchen and all of
the public areas of the hostels.

Bar and dining room duties including serving guests and setting up for breakfast and other
meals where necessary.

Where an intern has a sufficiently high standard of English there will also be some reception
duties which will include assisting with check-in, showing guests around the hostel and to
their rooms, answering any questions that guests may have and assisting in any way
necessary.

Training will be provided to assist interns to operate at hospitality industry standards. In all of
our hostels we strive to give our guests the best possible experience and maintain high
standards in all of our departments.

There are morning and evening shifts of 5 to 7 hrs each depending on requirements with 2
days off per week. Where possible we give 2 consecutive days off.

All interns are expected to speak English to the best of their ability and to work on improving
their standard of spoken English during the period of the internship.

Accommodation, food and transport:
Interns will be provided with shared dormitory accommodation including a light breakfast
and will have access to our self catering kitchen to prepare their own meals. We provide
tea/coffee, milk, sugar, bread, butter and jam.
